All of the Baby Academy staff members are completely dedicated to the healthy environment of our babies in our Academy. Our Care givers are trained in First Aid and CPR and they attend refresher courses twice a year. Edu-care training and regular updated in-house training also form part of their proficiency in providing individual care and attention to the babies. They follow daily worked-out stimulation programs to stimulate your baby according to their specific development needs.

Our Assistants in the Baby Academy are also trained and experienced and further training ensures that all staff is fully equipped to perform their daily duties in a proficient and adequate manner.

In order to achieve the highest level of care and development within The Baby Academy, we limit the number of babies per Care giver into various age-related classes:

Age Group 1:
The Baby Mozarts
3 - 6 months =  10 babies 1 Care giver & 2 assistants
Age Group 2:
The Baby Teresas
7 - 12 months =  10 babies 1 Care giver & 2 assistants
Age Group 3:
The Baby Oprahs
12 - 18 months =  12 toddlers 1 Care giver & 1 assistant
Age Group 4:
The Little Newtons
18 – 24 months =  16 toddlers 1 Care giver & 1 assistant, and an additional assistant shared between group 4 & 5
Age Group 5:
The Little Armstrongs
24 – 30 months =  16 toddlers 1 Care giver & 1 assistant, and an additional assistant shared between group 4 & 5

Although we strive to limit the amount of babies/toddlers per age group, there may be certain periods that we will not be able to maintain the ratios as abovementioned:

  • during the drop-off and pick-up times,
  • during toilet, tea and lunch breaks,
  • when nominated staff are attending training sessions/workshops/afternoon-off’s,
  • should staff be absent and no replacement/back-up can be find in time.

The Little Citizen Academy will ensure that during these mentioned periods, continued quality care will be given and devotion to your child will proceed by the appointed care givers.
